What's a ballpark figure for getting a baseball jersey framed? I know there are variables, but anyone who may have done that, what did you pay?

I know some of you guys have done your own framing but I know I would not be good at this type of stuff.

If you go the Michael's route, expect to pay at least a couple of hundred dollars. But Michaels usually runs a 50 percent off couple every week, so it won't be as bad.

You could go the ultramount way and spend about 199.99 http://ultramountdisplays.com/frames.htm. This is what I plan to do with the Rogers gamer I bought.

I never really understood framing jerseys. I would prefer to display it with a mannequin so that you can see the front and back of it. Then you can put glass around it to preserve it. I don't know, it just looks more lifelike when it's displayed with a mannequin. Plus, you lose out on seeing the front of it when it's framed. I guess everyone has their preferences though.

I half agree with you. I used to be soooooo into the idea of framing jerseys and couldn't wait to do it for some. Now I think "framing" is to permanent. I use both the mannequin torsos and the Ultra Mount display system. At least with Ultra Mount, you can easily swap it out if and when you want to. It also gives a little more dimension then laying a jersey flat inside a regular frame.

Nice Favre display. I recognize the '91 Star Pics autographed card. Is that Steeler ticket from his '92 Packer debut?

Yep. Ticket from the first game he played for the Pack vs Bengals when he came in and won for them, ticket from his first start for Green Bay vs Pittsburgh, and ticket from his last game as a Packer vs the Giants in the NFC Championship game.

Instead of having a jersey mounted permanently under glass like that, might I suggest getting a framed box with a lock and key? I bought one about three years or so ago so I could display my gamers and it's great because nothing is cemented in stone. Whenever I want to change it up, I just open it up and switch out the jerseys. It has a nice, dark matted back to it and a hook with hanging rod at the top.

I think it only ran me about $140 back then but unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from. There were a couple different sizes too. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to display their stuff more.

They look very nice, but there aren't any plain cases/frames with doors that are cheaper like Mike's? I'm looking for a couple myself now...
(also, note the fake jerseys in some of the shots for a laugh  )

C'mon Mike, jog that memory!

*edit* hmmmm sometimes google shopping works:

Wonder if these will do it?

I think I found the place I got mine from.

I'm almost positive that's the one. That price also seems cheaper than what I paid too so there's another bonus.

Thanks Mike. I saw that seller on Amazon too actually after finding the other. I'm going with the cheaper one for now so I can get two, and I'll report back what I think of the quality and post pics.

I know some have a lock and key system and some don't. I went with the one with a lock but obviously it's not necessary if it's just hanging on your wall.

Here's the result of my cases from DisplayGifts.com via Amazon. They're a little stuffed in there, but I'm happy considering the price...
