yeah it's the newer style, i also got a size 56 cool base older style pinstripe too for dirt cheap, it fits a little big but for the price i paid, it's a perfect jersey just to wear around whenever. i never thought i would say it but those cool base jerseys have been growing on me this summer since i can wear a jersey in the hot weather now.

As the story goes... at the time, when I wanted a Dodgers BP with Mattingly, and a Yankees BP with #42, I couldn't find a place (not that I knew many) where I could get Mattingly done, and EPS would do it. With what I'd heard/read about EPS's rep, I figured the ONLY difference would be the twill instead of the lextra (or whatever it's called), and I was willing to do that to get the Mattingly jersey.

At that time, I also looked into getting the Yanks BP.. MLB.com only offers a personalized BP jersey with NAME and number, and I wrote asking about it, and was told that was the ONLY way they could do it. At the time, when I also checked Majestic's site, they did not have my size in stock and couldn't tell me when they would. So again, figuring the only difference would be the feel/stitching of the numbers, I ordered it from EPS also.

I had a thread or two about what was sent back to me, and both were incorrect, both with the shiny/glittery silver as part of the numbers. I'd sent them both back, had them corrected, and that's what I have now. I went with the twill for (again, at the time) not knowing where else to look to get a Yanks authentic road BP. I couldn't even get one at the Stadium (I found out later).. they only sell the home BP there.

Last week, after checking, and checking some more, Majestic showed having the Yankees road BP in stock in XL. I ordered one right away, and I guess THAT will be my "fully" authentic one.

I guess I could have just answered "yes", but I didn't.

I ordered my Jason Heyward Braves BP jersey from mlbshop.com and it had twill name and numbers, so I wouldn't count on having the Lextra felt like numbers.

That sucks if that's the case. You would expect the BP jerseys to be done right from the MLB website.

I'd rather have twill, just for the durability.

I've ordered three Yankees home BP jerseys in the past from MLB.com, since the lextra's been used, and all arrived with lextra. The only other one I'd ordered was Cano's rookie year, and it came twill, as it should have. So... my experience was good.


But also, as I said, I ordered direct from Majestic this time, so I expect it fully correct. I'm really surprised MLB.com sent twill on the Braves BP.

Well, this one was kinda weird. When I picked up the package on my doorstep, I noticed the seller's name was Andrew Basenfelder, the guy who answers many of the emails on M&N's website.
